Fight Morning Sickness

This morning I saw a friend talking about struggling with some serious nausea with her pregnancy, and boy can I relate! During my second pregnancy I had it 24/7 for the first 3-4 months and it was miserable!

I had to force myself to eat even though I didn't want to, but it also made it hard because I hardly felt like I could take care of myself, let alone my toddler as well.

I didn't know how to help reduce it, I of course did the typical ginger ale and saltine crackers, but it didn't seem to make any difference.

Then one day my mother in law came to my rescue with sea bands, I had never heard of them before!

What are Sea-Bands?

Sea-Bands are a low-cost, clinically proven, drug free alternative treatment for the control of nausea and vomiting.

Sea-Bands are acupressure bands that fit around the patient’s wrist just like a sweat band-with a pressure stud sewn inside.

A University of Pittsburgh Medical Center study using Sea-Bands acupressure on post-op patients reduced the incidence of nausea to 10% - a TWO-THIRDS reduction.

They are only $9.99 And well worth the investment and can be washed and reused over and over again!

The second thing that I found will help is actually something my parents have used for quite a while with car sickness or normal nausea. They are Reeds Ginger Chews, you can typically find these in your local health food store. These are stronger and more effective that something like ginger snaps or ginger candy. Here is little bit about it from their website.

Reed's brings you this treasured treat from Indonesia that is made naturally from a popular recipe generations old. Now available in peanut butter ginger and original ginger flavors. Chews come in a resealable box and are individually wrapped. Another delicious ginger treat from the makers of Reed's Ginger Brews.

Ingredients: Sugar, Ginger, Tapioca Starch.  Free of Preservatives, Caffeine, Gluten & GMO’s.

I hope that this has been helpful! Please share with your friends, a lot of women struggle with this during a pregnancy!
